Dear All,

The Kazakhstan PhD Association in the UK is inviting you to attend The Second Central Asian Research Forum on Sustainable Development and Innovation, which will take place at Loughborough University on 18 March 2019.

On 25 September 2015, the UN General Assembly adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 Targets to end poverty, protect our planet, promote peace, and ensure prosperity for all. All states, including Central Asian states, supported this initiative to achieve SD goals by 2030 and improve the quality of life in Central Asia for the current and future generations. The forum aims to attract the potential of scientists from Central Asia to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The main goal of the Forum is to provide a platform to attract potential partners from government agencies and business structures to research projects of young Central Asian scientists, which are in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is hoped that the Forum will result in synergy between industry and young scientists and aid the development of Kazakhstan and the other countries of Central Asia.

The Forum also seeks to establish partnership links between the universities of Kazakhstan and United Kingdom. Notably, the Forum in the United Kingdom is organised in partnership with Loughborough University, which is ranked in the top 10 UK's universities and has a vast experience in the implementation of scientific projects aimed at sustainable development.

The registration for presenters and participants opens on 01 February 2019.
